Job Summary:
The Product Manager will play a key role in shaping the direction of new and existing products by bridging the gap between business objectives and technology solutions. This position involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to define product features and ensure they meet user needs and company goals. Additionally, this role will encompass Scrum Master responsibilities to ensure smooth development processes within the squad.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Strategy and Vision:
- Develop and clearly articulate the product vision and ensure it aligns with the company’s strategic goals.
- Manage and prioritize the product backlog to focus on the most impactful changes.
- Feature Development and Planning:
- Define user stories and acceptance criteria for clear communication and understanding across teams.
- Plan and lead the execution of product roadmaps, coordinating with engineering, design, and marketing teams.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Act as the primary liaison between stakeholders and the development team, managing expectations and ensuring stakeholder needs are met.
- Organize and lead stakeholder meetings to gather feedback, refine processes, and update the team on developments.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the development team to oversee development stages, address potential hurdles, and adjust plans as necessary to meet deadlines.
- Encourage a collaborative culture within the team by facilitating open communication and inclusive decision-making processes.
- Scrum Master Activities:
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Ensure the team follows Agile best practices and removes any impediments that could hinder the team’s progress.
- Track and communicate team velocity and sprint/release progress.
- Market and Customer Research:
- Conduct market research to understand the competitive landscape and identify customer needs and opportunities.
- Translate insights into actionable product initiatives that drive value for users and the business.
- Performance Monitoring:
- Monitor the performance of the product in terms of user engagement and satisfaction, using data to inform future development.
- Ensure that the product adheres to budgets, timelines, and quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in product management or a related field.
- Demonstrated success in leading mid to large-scale projects.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum.
- Proficient with product management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, JIRA, Confluence).
